1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) govern the access to and use of the RUNEBond website, application, interfaces, and any related tools or content (collectively, the “Platform”).

By accessing or using the Platform in any way — including browsing it, connecting a wallet, or submitting any request — you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Platform.

If you are using the Platform on behalf of an entity, you represent that you are authorised to bind that entity to these Terms.

2. What RUNEBond Is — and What It Is Not

RUNEBond is an informational and discovery platform that allows node operators and bond providers within the THORChain ecosystem to find each other. The Platform displays publicly available network data, lets node operators publish the conditions under which they are willing to accept bond, and lets bond providers express interest and coordinate with them.

RUNEBond is strictly a matching and coordination layer. In particular, RUNEBond:

• does not operate, control, govern, or maintain the THORChain protocol;
• does not operate or control the nodes listed on the Platform, nor the wallets of their operators;
• does not take custody of, hold, manage, or control user funds, private keys, or seed phrases;
• does not guarantee, underwrite, or intermediate any agreement reached between a node operator and a bond provider.

Any relationship, arrangement, or agreement between a node operator and a bond provider is entered into directly between those parties, at their own risk. RUNEBond is not a party to it.

3. No Custody of Funds

The Platform is non-custodial. All transactions are initiated and signed by you, from your own wallet, and are broadcast to and settled on the underlying blockchain networks.

RUNEBond never holds your private keys, never has the ability to move your assets on your behalf, and cannot reverse, cancel, recover, or refund any transaction once it has been broadcast to the network.

You are solely responsible for the security of your wallet, devices, private keys, seed phrases, and credentials. Loss of these will generally result in the permanent and irreversible loss of your assets, and RUNEBond has no ability to assist in their recovery.

4. The THORChain Protocol

THORChain is an independent, permissionless, decentralised protocol that is not owned, operated, or controlled by RUNEBond. RUNEBond is not endorsed by, or acting on behalf of, THORChain, its contributors, or its validators.

RUNEBond assumes no responsibility whatsoever for anything that happens at the protocol level, including without limitation:

• protocol upgrades, forks, parameter changes, or governance decisions;
• churn mechanics, bonding and unbonding rules, and their timing;
• slashing, penalties, jailing, or the loss of bonded funds for any reason;
• reward emission, reward distribution, APY changes, or the absence of rewards;
• bugs, exploits, halts, downtime, congestion, or economic failures of the protocol;
• the value, liquidity, or price volatility of RUNE or any other asset.

Data shown on the Platform is sourced from public network endpoints and third-party providers. It may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate, and is provided for informational purposes only. You should independently verify any data before relying on it.

5. Node Operators, Bond Providers and Third-Party Conduct

Node operators and bond providers are independent third parties. RUNEBond does not vet, verify, certify, audit, supervise, or guarantee them, their identity, their solvency, their technical competence, or their intentions.

RUNEBond is not responsible for the behaviour of any node or of any counterparty, including without limitation:

• poor performance, downtime, misconfiguration, or being churned out of the active set;
• a node being slashed, jailed, banned, or otherwise penalised;
• an operator changing, withdrawing, or failing to honour the terms, fees, or conditions they published;
• an operator refusing, delaying, or failing to process bonding or unbonding requests;
• fraud, misrepresentation, negligence, or malicious action by any operator, bond provider, or other user.

Information published by node operators (fees, minimum amounts, descriptions, contact details, and any other content) is supplied by them and displayed by RUNEBond as provided, without verification.

You are solely responsible for performing your own due diligence on any counterparty before committing any funds.

6. Your Responsibility When Signing Transactions

The Platform may help you construct transactions, but you and only you decide what to sign and broadcast.

Before approving any transaction, you must carefully review and independently verify every detail of what you are signing — the destination address, the amount, the asset, the memo, the network, the fees, and any contract interaction — directly in your own wallet, and not solely as displayed by the Platform.

RUNEBond shall not be held liable for:

• user errors or unintended actions;
• mis-signed, malformed, or misdirected transactions;
• incorrect memos, amounts, or recipient addresses;
• misunderstandings of wallet prompts;
• software misuse; or
• any losses arising from user-initiated operations.

Blockchain transactions are irreversible. RUNEBond cannot and will not reverse, refund, or compensate for incorrect or unintended signatures.

7. Security and Software Disclaimer

RUNEBond applies best-effort practices, security measures, and reasonable technical safeguards to protect the Platform and its users. However, no guarantee of security, correctness, or availability is given or implied.

The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation.

You acknowledge and accept that the Platform — like any software — may contain bugs, defects, vulnerabilities, or operational errors, and that it depends on third-party infrastructure (wallets, RPC endpoints, data providers, hosting services) that may itself fail or be compromised. RUNEBond shall not be held responsible for any damages, losses, or malfunctions arising from such issues.

Always ensure you are using the official RUNEBond domain, and treat any other interface, message, or contact claiming to be RUNEBond as untrusted. RUNEBond will never ask you for your seed phrase or private keys.

8. No Financial, Legal or Tax Advice

Nothing on the Platform — including data, simulators, estimations, projections, rankings, documentation, blog posts, or any other content — constitutes financial, investment, legal, accounting, or tax advice, nor a recommendation, solicitation, or offer to buy, sell, or hold any asset.

Any yield figure, APY, simulation, or projection is an estimate based on assumptions and past data, and is not a promise of future results. Returns are not guaranteed, and you may lose part or all of your funds. You should consult your own qualified advisers before making any decision.

9. Assumption of Risk

By using the Platform you represent that you understand the risks inherent to blockchain networks, digital assets, and node bonding, including without limitation the risk of total loss of funds due to slashing, protocol failure, smart-contract exploits, counterparty behaviour, market volatility, illiquidity, or your own error.

You use the Platform entirely at your own risk and only commit funds you can afford to lose.

10. Eligibility and Acceptable Use

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Platform is lawful in your jurisdiction, and for complying with all applicable laws, regulations, sanctions, and tax obligations that apply to you. You must not use the Platform if doing so is prohibited where you are located.

You must not:

• use the Platform for any unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purpose, including money laundering or terrorist financing;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform, its infrastructure, or other users’ data;
• interfere with, overload, scrape abusively, or disrupt the Platform or its APIs;
• impersonate any person or entity, or publish false, misleading, or deceptive information through the Platform;
• reverse engineer or misuse the Platform in a way that harms other users.

RUNEBond may restrict, suspend, or remove access to any user, node listing, or content at its sole discretion and without prior notice.

11. Availability and Changes to the Platform

The Platform and any of its features may be modified, suspended, limited, or discontinued at any time, in whole or in part, without prior notice and without liability. RUNEBond does not guarantee continuity, uptime, or the persistence of any feature or data.

12. Third-Party Services and Links

The Platform may reference or link to third-party websites, wallets, explorers, data providers, or services. These are provided for convenience only. RUNEBond does not control or endorse them and is not responsible for their content, availability, security, terms, or practices. Your use of any third-party service is governed solely by that third party’s terms.

13. Intellectual Property

The Platform, its interfaces, design, branding, logos, and original content are protected by applicable intellectual property rights and may not be copied, reproduced, or used commercially without prior written permission, except where the relevant source code or content is expressly made available under an open-source or other permissive licence.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RUNEBond and anyone involved in creating, producing, or operating the Platform shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, nor for any loss of funds, profits, rewards, data, goodwill, or opportunity, arising out of or in connection with the use of — or the inability to use — the Platform, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory invoked and covers, without limitation, losses caused by the underlying protocol, by node operators or other counterparties, by third-party services, by software defects, or by your own actions. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

15. Feature-Specific Terms

Certain features of the Platform may be subject to additional, feature-specific terms presented within the application at the moment of use. Those additional terms complement these Terms and, in case of conflict regarding that specific feature, prevail over them.

16. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated at any time. The version published on the Platform is the version in force, and the date at the top of this page indicates when it was last modified. Continued use of the Platform after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. You are encouraged to review this page periodically.
