Swap ETH to HYPE: no KYC, no sign-up, decentralized
Get HYPE with your ether without opening an exchange account. Your ETH leaves your own wallet on Ethereum, native HYPE arrives in your own wallet on HyperEVM, and there is no sign-up, no ID check and no custodian holding your funds in between.
- No KYC
- Non-custodial
- Cross-chain
- Native assets
ETH to HYPE is how Ethereum users get into Hyperliquid. The usual way is to buy HYPE on an exchange and withdraw it, or to move funds to another network first and buy it there in several steps. This swap does it in one: ETH from your wallet becomes native HYPE in your wallet, ready to pay fees and use apps on HyperEVM, or to move to your Hyperliquid trading balance yourself.
How to swap ETH to HYPE
- 1
Add the HyperEVM network to a wallet you control and copy the address you will receive the HYPE at. You do not need any HYPE beforehand: delivery is paid from the ETH side.
- 2
Enter how much ETH you want to swap, keeping a little ETH back for the Ethereum network fee. The widget shows the expected HYPE, the cost and the estimated time before you sign.
- 3
Connect the wallet that holds your ETH on the Ethereum main network and paste your HyperEVM address as the destination. The Ethereum transaction is prepared for you.
- 4
Confirm in your wallet. Ethereum confirms the transaction within a block or two of about twelve seconds each, the swap runs, and the HYPE lands on HyperEVM, where blocks come about once a second.
Why swap ETH to HYPE this way
No KYC, no account
There is nothing to sign up for: no account, no email and no identity check. You swap straight from your own wallet. Like every on-chain transaction, it is public on the blockchain.
Decentralized and non-custodial
Your funds never sit with RUNEBond or with an exchange. You sign the transaction in your own wallet and the HYPE arrives straight at your address.
Cross-chain with native assets
Real ETH on Ethereum in, real HYPE on HyperEVM out. No wrapped tokens and no IOUs: you receive the native coin in your own wallet.
Track every step
From the moment you confirm, you see where your swap is: ETH sent, confirmed, swap in progress, HYPE delivered. No guessing.
Before you swap
Price on large amounts
Large swaps can get a slightly worse price and take longer than small ones. The widget shows the expected price impact and time before you confirm.
Refunds
If a swap cannot be completed, the ETH is refunded to the address it came from, minus network fees. Send from a wallet you control, never from an exchange.
Wrong destination address
The HYPE goes to the address you enter, and it must be a HyperEVM address. Blockchain transactions cannot be reversed: check the address before you confirm.
Confirmation time
The swap starts once Ethereum confirms your transaction, so the total time depends on that network. The widget shows the estimate for your amount.
About Ethereum (ETH)
Ether (ETH) is the native coin of Ethereum, the blockchain where most decentralized applications, stablecoins and tokens live. ETH pays for every transaction on the network, which is why almost anyone active in crypto ends up needing some.
Getting it from another coin usually means an exchange account. A native cross-chain swap delivers real ETH on the Ethereum network straight to your own wallet instead, with no wrapped version and no account in between.
- Receive the ETH on the Ethereum main network. An address on another network built on top of Ethereum is not the same destination, even if it looks alike.
- Keep a little ETH in the wallet if you plan to move it or use tokens later: every transaction on Ethereum pays its network fee in ETH.
- Receive into a wallet you control rather than an exchange deposit address, so the coins are yours the moment they land.
About Hyperliquid (HYPE)
HYPE is the native coin of Hyperliquid, a blockchain launched with its own trading engine (HyperCore) and, since February 2025, a general-purpose smart contract layer (HyperEVM). HYPE launched in November 2024 and pays the network fees on HyperEVM.
HYPE lives on its own chain, and most other ways of holding it mean an exchange balance or a token on another network. A native cross-chain swap delivers real HYPE on HyperEVM to your own wallet, with no exchange account and no wrapped token in between.
- The HYPE arrives on HyperEVM, the smart contract side of Hyperliquid. Its trading balance on HyperCore is a separate balance: moving HYPE there is a transfer you make yourself afterwards.
- An Ethereum address and a HyperEVM address can look exactly alike. Make sure your wallet is set to the HyperEVM network, or the HYPE will not show up even though it has arrived.
- Send from a wallet you control, not from an exchange withdrawal: if the swap is refunded, the HYPE goes back to the address it came from.
Frequently asked questions
How long does a ETH to HYPE swap take?
Ethereum produces a block roughly every twelve seconds, so the ETH shows up in your wallet shortly after the swap completes. HyperEVM produces a small block roughly every second, so HYPE sent to you lands in your wallet moments after the swap completes, and a swap from HYPE starts right after you sign. The widget shows the estimated total time for your amount before you confirm.
What address do I need to receive HYPE?
A HyperEVM address in a wallet you control. An address from another network will not work.
Can I buy HYPE without an exchange account?
Yes. You pay with ETH from your own wallet, with no account, no email and no identity check, and the HYPE goes straight to your wallet on HyperEVM. Like any on-chain transaction, both sides of the swap are public on their blockchains.
Where does the HYPE arrive: HyperEVM or my Hyperliquid trading balance?
On HyperEVM, as native HYPE in your wallet. The trading balance on HyperCore is separate; if you want the HYPE there, move it yourself with a transfer between HyperEVM and HyperCore once it has arrived.
The swap completed but I do not see my HYPE. What happened?
Most often the wallet is still showing Ethereum. An Ethereum address and a HyperEVM address can look exactly alike, so switch the wallet to the HyperEVM network and the HYPE should be there.
Is the HYPE I receive native, or a token on Ethereum?
Native. You receive HYPE on HyperEVM, the coin that pays fees there, not a HYPE token issued on Ethereum or any other network.
What happens if the swap cannot be completed?
The ETH is refunded to the address it was sent from, minus network fees. That is why you send from a wallet you control and not from an exchange withdrawal. RUNEBond never takes custody of funds at any step.
