Buy Ethereum (ETH) without KYC, paying with another coin

You can get Ethereum without KYC by paying with crypto instead of cash: pick the coin you hold, send it from your own wallet and receive native ETH at your Ethereum address. No account is created and no identity document is asked for. You approve every step in your wallet, and the ETH lands where you choose.

ETH is the fuel of Ethereum: every transfer, token approval and app interaction on the network is paid for in ether. People reach for it when an Ethereum wallet holds stablecoins or other tokens it cannot move, when they want to use an app on Ethereum, or when they simply want to hold ether next to their bitcoin. Swapping into ETH covers all three without an exchange account, and swapping out of it works the same way in reverse.

About Ethereum (ETH)

Ether (ETH) is the native coin of Ethereum, the blockchain where most decentralized applications, stablecoins and tokens live. ETH pays for every transaction on the network, which is why almost anyone active in crypto ends up needing some.

Getting it from another coin usually means an exchange account. A native cross-chain swap delivers real ETH on the Ethereum network straight to your own wallet instead, with no wrapped version and no account in between.

Ethereum produces a block roughly every twelve seconds, so the ETH shows up in your wallet shortly after the swap completes.

How to get or swap ETH

  1. 1

Copy the receiving address of an Ethereum wallet you control. It can be empty: receiving ether costs nothing, only sending it does.

  2. 2

The widget opens with bitcoin as the input. Leave it, or choose the coin you actually hold, and keep ETH as the output.

  3. 3

Enter your Ethereum address and the amount, then read the quote: how much ether arrives, the costs and the time it should take.

  4. 4

Send the input coin by confirming in its own wallet and watch the progress until the ETH shows in your Ethereum wallet.

  5. 5

Leaving ETH later is the same flow reversed. Ether pays its own network fee when it leaves, so swap slightly less than your full balance.

Without KYC, “buying” ether means paying with crypto you already own. A person starting from euros or dollars needs a regulated on-ramp that checks identity, and nothing on this page changes that. From a coin in your own wallet, the swap replaces the usual exchange round trip of deposit, sell, buy and withdraw.

Two things trip people up when they first get ETH. The first is the network: Ethereum hosts many tokens and other networks reuse its address style, so check that the destination wallet is set to the Ethereum main network before you paste it. The second is the leftover: keep some ether after any swap out of ETH, because every token you still hold on Ethereum needs it to move. Why swap ETH this way

No KYC, no sign-up

No account, no email and no identity check. Connect your wallet and swap.

Decentralized and non-custodial

Your funds never sit with RUNEBond or with an exchange. You sign in your own wallet and receive at your own address.

Native coins across chains

Real BTC in, real coins out on their own chains. No wrapped tokens and no IOUs.

Track every step

Know where your swap is at every moment: sent, confirmed, in progress, delivered. No guessing and no support tickets to find out.

Before you swap

  • Receive the ETH on the Ethereum main network. An address on another network built on top of Ethereum is not the same destination, even if it looks alike.
  • Keep a little ETH in the wallet if you plan to move it or use tokens later: every transaction on Ethereum pays its network fee in ETH.
  • Receive into a wallet you control rather than an exchange deposit address, so the coins are yours the moment they land.

Price on large amounts

Large swaps can get a slightly worse price and take longer than small ones. The widget shows the expected price impact and time before you confirm.

Refunds

If a swap cannot be completed, the coins are refunded to the address they came from, minus network fees. Send from a wallet you control, never from an exchange.

Wrong destination address

The coins go to the address you enter, and it must belong to the network of the coin you receive. Blockchain transactions cannot be reversed: check the address before you confirm.

Confirmation time

The swap starts once the network of the coin you send confirms your transaction, so the total time depends on that network. The widget shows the estimate for your amount.

Frequently asked questions

Can I buy ETH without KYC with a debit card or PayPal?

No. Card, bank and PayPal purchases run through regulated payment companies that verify who you are. Without KYC, the way to get ether is paying with another coin you already keep in a wallet of your own.

My wallet has USDT on Ethereum but no ETH. Why can I not send it?

Every transaction on Ethereum, including a token transfer, pays its network fee in ETH. A wallet that holds only tokens is stuck until some ether arrives, and a coin from another network swapped into ETH can be sent straight to that address.

Can I pay Ethereum network fees with WETH?

No. Wrapped ether is a token backed one to one by ETH, but the network only accepts native ETH for fees. Unwrapping WETH back into ETH is itself a transaction, so it needs a little native ether first.

What is gwei, and why does my wallet show fees in it?

Gwei is a small unit of ether, one billionth of an ETH. Wallets use it to quote the price of gas, but the fee is still taken from your ETH balance.

Can I get ETH from bitcoin without an exchange?

Yes. Bitcoin is one of the coins the widget takes as input, and there is a dedicated guide for swapping BTC to ETH that covers that route step by step.
