Swap HYPE to ETH: no KYC, no sign-up, decentralized
Take your HYPE back to Ethereum without an exchange account. Your HYPE leaves your own wallet on HyperEVM, native ETH arrives at your own address on the Ethereum main network, and there is no sign-up, no ID check and no custodian holding your funds in between.
- No KYC
- Non-custodial
- Cross-chain
- Native assets
HYPE to ETH is the way out of Hyperliquid and back to Ethereum: taking a position off the table, or moving value to where your other apps and tokens live. The usual route is depositing HYPE on an exchange, selling it and withdrawing ETH, with an account and an identity check on top. This swap goes wallet to wallet, and the only preparation is having your HYPE on HyperEVM rather than in your trading balance.
How to swap HYPE to ETH
- 1
Make sure the HYPE you want to swap is on HyperEVM, in a wallet you control. If it sits in your Hyperliquid trading balance on HyperCore, transfer it to HyperEVM first, and keep a little HYPE there for the HyperEVM network fee.
- 2
Have an address ready to receive the ETH on the Ethereum main network. You do not need any ETH beforehand: delivery is paid from the HYPE side.
- 3
Enter how much HYPE you want to swap. With your wallet set to the HyperEVM network, connect it and paste your Ethereum address as the destination; the widget shows the expected ETH, the cost and the estimated time before you sign.
- 4
Confirm in your wallet. HyperEVM confirms the transaction within a second or so, the swap runs, and the ETH lands at your Ethereum address, where a block comes roughly every twelve seconds.
Why swap HYPE to ETH this way
No KYC, no account
There is nothing to sign up for: no account, no email and no identity check. You swap straight from your own wallet. Like every on-chain transaction, it is public on the blockchain.
Decentralized and non-custodial
Your funds never sit with RUNEBond or with an exchange. You sign the transaction in your own wallet and the ETH arrives straight at your address.
Cross-chain with native assets
Real HYPE on HyperEVM in, real ETH on Ethereum out. No wrapped tokens and no IOUs: you receive the native coin in your own wallet.
Track every step
From the moment you confirm, you see where your swap is: HYPE sent, confirmed, swap in progress, ETH delivered. No guessing.
Before you swap
Price on large amounts
Large swaps can get a slightly worse price and take longer than small ones. The widget shows the expected price impact and time before you confirm.
Refunds
If a swap cannot be completed, the HYPE is refunded to the address it came from, minus network fees. Send from a wallet you control, never from an exchange.
Wrong destination address
The ETH goes to the address you enter, and it must be a Ethereum address. Blockchain transactions cannot be reversed: check the address before you confirm.
Confirmation time
The swap starts once HyperEVM confirms your transaction, so the total time depends on that network. The widget shows the estimate for your amount.
About Hyperliquid (HYPE)
HYPE is the native coin of Hyperliquid, a blockchain launched with its own trading engine (HyperCore) and, since February 2025, a general-purpose smart contract layer (HyperEVM). HYPE launched in November 2024 and pays the network fees on HyperEVM.
HYPE lives on its own chain, and most other ways of holding it mean an exchange balance or a token on another network. A native cross-chain swap delivers real HYPE on HyperEVM to your own wallet, with no exchange account and no wrapped token in between.
- The HYPE arrives on HyperEVM, the smart contract side of Hyperliquid. Its trading balance on HyperCore is a separate balance: moving HYPE there is a transfer you make yourself afterwards.
- An Ethereum address and a HyperEVM address can look exactly alike. Make sure your wallet is set to the HyperEVM network, or the HYPE will not show up even though it has arrived.
- Send from a wallet you control, not from an exchange withdrawal: if the swap is refunded, the HYPE goes back to the address it came from.
About Ethereum (ETH)
Ether (ETH) is the native coin of Ethereum, the blockchain where most decentralized applications, stablecoins and tokens live. ETH pays for every transaction on the network, which is why almost anyone active in crypto ends up needing some.
Getting it from another coin usually means an exchange account. A native cross-chain swap delivers real ETH on the Ethereum network straight to your own wallet instead, with no wrapped version and no account in between.
- Receive the ETH on the Ethereum main network. An address on another network built on top of Ethereum is not the same destination, even if it looks alike.
- Keep a little ETH in the wallet if you plan to move it or use tokens later: every transaction on Ethereum pays its network fee in ETH.
- Receive into a wallet you control rather than an exchange deposit address, so the coins are yours the moment they land.
Frequently asked questions
How long does a HYPE to ETH swap take?
HyperEVM produces a small block roughly every second, so HYPE sent to you lands in your wallet moments after the swap completes, and a swap from HYPE starts right after you sign. Ethereum produces a block roughly every twelve seconds, so the ETH shows up in your wallet shortly after the swap completes. The widget shows the estimated total time for your amount before you confirm.
What address do I need to receive ETH?
A Ethereum address in a wallet you control. An address from another network will not work.
Can I sell HYPE for ETH without an exchange account?
Yes. You swap from your own wallet on HyperEVM, with no account, no email and no identity check, and the ETH goes straight to your address on Ethereum. Like any on-chain transaction, both sides of the swap are public on their blockchains.
Can I swap HYPE straight from my Hyperliquid trading balance?
No. The swap starts from native HYPE on HyperEVM. HYPE in the trading balance on HyperCore is a separate balance, so move it to HyperEVM with a transfer between the two before you start.
Why does my wallet ask for HYPE to pay the fee?
Because the swap starts with a transaction on HyperEVM, and HyperEVM network fees are paid in HYPE. Leave a little HYPE in the wallet after the amount you swap so that transaction can go through.
Do I receive real ETH or a wrapped token?
Real ETH on the Ethereum main network, delivered to your own address. It is not an ETH token on HyperEVM or on any other network built on top of Ethereum.
What happens if the swap cannot be completed?
The HYPE is refunded to the HyperEVM address it was sent from, minus network fees. That is why you send from a wallet you control and not from an exchange withdrawal. RUNEBond never takes custody of funds at any step.
